8 Fun Ways to Give Cash as A Wedding Gift
Having just a received a wedding invitation with the gift request to be money only, my initial thoughts were... how incredibly unexciting and why should I give money if I don't want to! This was followed by how on earth do I know the "appropriate" amount of money to give?
Having thought about it a bit more, I imagined most couples nowadays are generally co-habiting by the time they marry in which case they probably already own all the "dreaded" wedding presents they are likely to receive and so I realised that for young people (sadly I'm no longer a spring chicken) it's probably the most ideal solution for a wedding gift.
The request for money in my invitation was written in a comical verse which I felt was a nice touch so it set me on the path of what would be the most surprising and fun ways to present cash as a wedding gift.
Fortune cookies have always been a fun and popular gift so maybe it would be a nice touch to fold your gift of money into the shape of a fortune cookie with a lucky note inside. Or, use a typical fortune cookie and use the money note(s) as the inserted lucky note. |
