Gift Wrap Inspiration for Travellers and Graduates
If you have a loved one about to graduate you might have chosen a travel-related gift for your new graduate to take on the World. With that in mind, this week's gift wrap inspiration is travel themed! I love half and half wrapping because it gives that wrapped gift a bit more of an edge providing added anticipation and excitement.
Our travel theme showcases two gorgeous luxury wrapping papers with colour coordinated ribbons. So whether it's for a specific occasion such as a graduation, it could also be for you to say: The Sky's the Limit; Broaden Your Horizons; Go Take on the World; Let's Go On An Adventure; And So the Adventure Begins or Say Yes to New Adventures.
We used Cloud Rococo Gift Wrap from 'Identity Papers' priced at £2.50 per sheet together with Vintage Inspired World Map Wrapping Paper from 'The Letteroom' at £3.00 per sheet. For the ribbon, we used double sided 15mm satin ribbon in burgundy and yellow gold to match the colours used for the map wrapping paper. Both were purchased from eBay.
With luxury wrapping paper selected it pays to be prepared! So make sure you measure and precut your paper. Also, if you have chosen paper that may need to go a certain way up make sure you have placed it the right way up before committing to stick the paper in place. For this theme, we wanted the map paper to appear at the bottom with the sky above it, so it makes sense to ensure the map paper is positioned the right way up first.
It's kind of acceptable to use sellotape if you have ensured your folding is perfectly neat, but so much better to use double sided tape so that not only does it look much neater but it's easier to unwrap.
