150g Packed Brown Sugar
¼ Tsp Cinnamon
⅛ Tsp Salt
¼ Tsp Baking Powder
⅛ tsp Baking Soda
150g + 1 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
75g Quick Oats
100g Dried Cranberries
100g White Chocolate Chips
60g Softened Butter
1 Egg
½ Tsp Vanilla
For cooking at home yourself you simply need to put aside the Butter, Egg, and Vanilla.
Pour all the other ingredients into a mixing bowl and then beat in the Butter, Egg, and Vanilla.
Scoop large tablespoonfuls of the mixture onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for approximately 8-10 minutes.
Oven temperature should be 190°C.
To give as a gift...
In a pint jar, pack the brown sugar into the base.
On top of the sugar add the cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add the flour and gently shake the jar back and forth to even out the layer of flour. Do the same with the oats and then dried cranberries. At this point, you will need to squish the cranberries down to make room for the white chocolate chips.
If your chocolate chips do not reach the top of the jar lid, add a few extras to fill the jar. You don’t want any empty space or the layers in the jar will get mixed up and not look very pretty.
Tie with a pretty ribbon and include a tag with the instructions on how to prepare the cookies.
Your instructions to include on the tag should include the following information...
Add 60g Softened Butter, 1 Egg & ½ tsp Vanilla
Pour mix into a medium bowl and beat in the butter, egg, and vanilla.
Drop large tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes at 190°C. Cool and enjoy!
It can be a bit tricky to fill the jar but providing you pack in tightly it should be fine. The above recipe was found on Pinterest and sourced back to the website address below. Here you'll also find some downloadable gift tags you can use which include the instructions.
If you have one of those 'lever' ice cream scoops they're perfect for scooping out your cookie mix! Ensure you level of the mixure to achieve consistency with cookie sizes.
